Sesame Nuggets with Garlic Orange Butter Sauce
Sesame Nuggets
Marinate for 1 hour:
- 1 lb chicken pieces (cut into bite size pieces)
- 3 egg whites
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon ginger (ground)
- 1 scallion
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed Texas Orange juice
After one hour:
Roll chicken in 3 ounces of sesame seeds.
Refrigerate 20 minutes.
- Saute chicken 10-20 minutes in:
- 2 tablespoons ginger
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- juice of one lemon
- juice of one Texas Orange
- 1 teaspoon garlic
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Serve with
Garlic Orange Butter Sauce
- 1/3 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon orange zest
- 1 clove garlic, minced
Combine butter, brown sugar, ginger, Texas Orange zest, and minced garlic. Cook on medium heat until sugar dissolves 2-10 minutes. Garnish with grapefruit and orange slices, if desired. Snow peas and rice also make excellent side dishes. Makes 6 servings.
